The CPCHEA Research Network is designed to facilitate collaboration in research among Christian scholars and scientists with an African focus and global relevance. It is an open network in which we welcome the participation of all anywhere in the world with a vision for a transformational Christian scholarship.

There are two aspects to this network:

Research Forum

Go to Research Forum

We have established a Research Forum where those involved in research can engage in dialogue with colleagues who are working on the same, or a related issue, providing mutual support and stimulus. This may, on occasions, lead to joint research projects.

The forum uses state of the art message board technology that provides a powerful, but easy to use tool for such dialogue. It allows participants to engage with a dialogue already in progress with the ability to easily follow through the thread of the discussion to date with the minimum of fuss and bother. It also allows participants to begin a new conversation on a new theme, or a new sub-conversation focusing on one aspect of an existing discussion. It also allows participants who have no knowledge of HTML programming to format their messages, including diagrams, tables and lists in their messages and using mathematical notations. It also allows participants to include files as attachments to their messages.

We hope that many will use this facility!

Research Database

The second thing we would like to do is to build up a database of completed high quality research that has a bearing on issues relevant to the African situation and would be helpful to Christians engaged in higher education in Africa, whether as researchers or teachers or as course planners. For this purpose, we invite contributions of short 100 word abstracts of research papers and articles that fall into this category, together with information about how the complete paper or article can be accessed.

Contributions to this aspect of the Research Network should be sent by email to: admin@amani.org.au
